I did not expect the flood of emotion that overcame me as I walked hand in hand with my husband, our girls running ahead laughing and playing in the warm golden hour light. I had to wipe away the happy tears (momma did her makeup and there was NO WAY I was letting it smudge) as we set up the tripod and settled into our spot. It was in that moment that I realized how important family portraits are. Every time I see our images from that day, the same warm feeling totally gets me. I relive that special moment from that milestone in our lives, and that is the exact experience I strive to give to each client. Receiving the text that "our gallery made me tear up!" just totally makes my day, because I get it.
